The Witches of Warwick
Double, double, toil and trouble,
There be witches, some with stubble!
Bums and thumbs and crumbs and Tums,
Something wicked to Warwick comes.
Four e’ens ere Hallow’s, on Friday join,
And knock the door of Chardavoyne.
From morn to eve, come anytime,
We’ll have food and fire and tales and wine.
Fear thee not, nor fill with dread,
All who come will have a bed.
Don’t burden y’self with sundry suitcases,
Bring only you, your costumes and faces.
Next day we walk west to the winery,
Wizards, witches, magicians nonbinery.
Back home, pair up for a potions class,
Enjoy your brew in the Warwick grass.
By night, we have a couple surprises,
So, don all ye gayful in your magical guises.
Witches of Warwick, the theme is a given,
Leave your keys in your cauldron (we all will be driven).
On Sunday my dearie, a pumpkin you’ll carve,
And eat Hallo-mole, so fear not you’ll starve.
Movies will screen and games will be played,
Don't leave too early - you'll all wish you’d stayed!
Depart for home Monday if work will allow,
You’ll make it, you’ll prosper, you’ll feel good somehow!
By bus or by car, there are options galore,
For getting to and from this old ‘Wick of War.
But oh! Could we ask a contribution from you?
One hundred witch dollars per-person would do.
To cover the costs of this coven, you see,
We hope by the end of your trip, you’ll agree…
The weekend will be one for the legends, we think,
So, enjoy it, dear friends, it’ll go in a blink.
